Little known Wisconsin foundation behind ‘voter fraud’ billboards

Melissa Harris Perry and her guests talk about the right-wing propaganda organization the Bradley Foundation. These folks are loaded with cash and they have an agenda. It looks like they are the major source of money for a lot of these right-wing thing tanks and voter suppression efforts across the country. How do we combat organizations like this?

Another right-winger that can't define Communist

Here we have yet another Right-Winger, throwing around terms they can't even define. It never ceases to amaze me how many conservatives I encounter online that throw around labels like "Socialist" or "Communist" but don't actually know what one is. Most of these boobs wouldn't know a real Socialist or Communist if one slapped them upside their empty heads. I've come to the conclusion that they just automatically apply these labels to anything or anybody they don't agree with. Other than that they really don't give it much thought.

Duckworth rips Walsh over ‘dress’ attack: Mostly I’ve worn one color – camouflage (via Raw Story )

In a debate stunt gone wrong on Tuesday night, incumbent Congressman Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) attacked his Democratic challenger, Iraq War veteran Tammy Duckworth, by showing a photo of Duckworth choosing her dress for the 2012 Democratic National Convention, which she neatly turned around by calling…

Maddow On Obama Tape: Right Wants You To Believe He's "Way More Black Than He Seems To You Now"

The words of Lee Atwater

The words of Lee Atwater

"You start out in 1954 by saying, “Nigger, nigger, nigger.” By 1968 you can’t say “nigger” — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states’ rights and all that stuff. You’re getting so abstract now [that] you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I’m not saying that. But I’m saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me — because obviously sitting around saying, “We want to cut this,” is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “Nigger, nigger.” - Lee Atwater

The GOP War on Voting

AUGUST 30, 2011 7:40 PM ET

An excellent article from the Rolling Stone Magazine on GOP efforts across the nation to suppress voting or at best make it extremely difficult for certain segments of our population to vote in the 2012 election.

Below is an excerpt from the article. You can read the full article by clicking on the link below.

"Republicans have long tried to drive Democratic voters away from the polls. "I don't want everybody to vote," the influential conservative activist Paul Weyrich told a gathering of evangelical leaders in 1980. "As a matter of fact, our leverage in the elections quite candidly goes up as the voting populace goes down." But since the 2010 election, thanks to a conservative advocacy group founded by Weyrich, the GOP's effort to disrupt voting rights has been more widespread and effective than ever. In a systematic campaign orchestrated by the American Legislative Exchange Council – and funded in part by David and Charles Koch, the billionaire brothers who bankrolled the Tea Party – 38 states introduced legislation this year designed to impede voters at every step of the electoral process."

Matthews: GOP is playing the race card

I've never been a huge fan of Chris Matthews combative style, but there are times when that's exactly what is needed, and this was one of those times. The GOP needs to be called out and loudly! It's actually good to see these guys get a taste of their own medicine. Allen West take notes!
